Partners make us stronger and more resilient

As this 250th anniversary of the USA’s independence draws near, I’ve been reflecting on what it means to me, and how we got to where we are today.

It’s clear that the strength of our country comes from a melding a cultures.  Diversity of ideas, skills, and ways of living have built the richness that we enjoy today.

But such diversity can also cause conflict, if seen as a threat.

In the past few years, I have realized how valuable collaboration with others can be, when approached as mutually beneficial, rather than as competition.

And today, I’m more excited than ever about all of the partnerships that we have developed and are currently developing.  So I’ll share a few here:

  1. The Justice Family of The New England Poultry Company has been raising our chicken for the past 3 years.  And I hate to admit it, but Tyler is actually better at raising pastured chicken, fed organic grains than we were before that.

  2. The Teeny Tiny Spice Company has finally enabled us to get our sausages certified organic, with their amazing sausage seasoning blends.

  3. River and Rail Farm in upstate New York is supplying us with our first ever certified organic cattle this year.  This is something we’ve been searching for for years, and we couldn’t be happier to have finally found them.

  4. Adaptive Agroforestry Principles and Teaching is a collaboration between several universities, including Yale, Dartmouth, and UNH, where we have been selected to experiment and study our next silvopasture establishment.  You will see the logging taking place during July and early August.

  5. Fertile Intentions, an organization that helps women with natural fertility treatments, is now collaborating with us to bring you amazing recipes that help all people improve their health.

  6. Align Wellness, specializing in integrative and functional medicine, knows the importance of quality food for your health, and we are so excited to be launching into a new partnership with them to bring deeper education and a whole health approach to your well-being with the foundation of nutrient-dense, chemical-free food.

Many of these partnerships took us years of searching, interviewing, and visiting with other possible partners to find others that are aligned with our mission and philosophy.

Just as we have seen in the past 250 years of our nation, our strength and impact can be so beneficial when we collaborate with others that bring excellence and passion to their work.

So we couldn’t be more delighted and hopeful for our future with these and many other partners by our side.
