Serves 6-8

Ingredients

6.5 lb smoked ham with bone-in

About 20 whole cloves

1/2 salt

10 grinds pepper

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 TBS butter, melted

1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 cup pure maple syrup

Directions

Heat oven to 325 F. Make some slices with a sharp knife on the side or edge of the ham with fat and stick some whole cloves into the cracks. In a small bowl mix salt, pepper, sugar, butter, and cinnamon together. Rub this mixture all over the ham and place ham in a large cast-iron skillet meaty side down. **If using a Center Cut Ham, place tinfoil over the top of the ham** Cook for 1.5 hours on the middle rack of the oven. Take out and baste the ham with juices. Pour maple syrup over the top of ham after basting. Bake for 15 more minutes. **remove tin foil on center cut hams** Turn heat to 425 F and bake for 10 more minutes or until internal temp reaches 145 F. Be sure to check temp away from the bone in the meaty part of the ham. Let ham rest for 10 minutes before serving. Be sure to spoon glaze from the pan over sliced ham. Enjoy!
