Homemade Beef Breakfast Sausage

Ingredients
2lbs ground beef @wildharmonyfarm
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
2 TBS pure maple syrup
Olive oil
Directions
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and shape into 8 breakfast patties. Cook in a cast iron skillet drizzled with a little olive oil over medium heat until bottom of sausage is browned. Flip and do the same for the other side of the sausage.
These are great with egg sandwiches! Of course you can cook all of the sausage in a cast iron skillet (and break it up with a wooden spoon) instead of shaping it into patties and make other delicious breakfast things like frittatas, stratas and quiches to name a few.
