Simple Beef Burger +Liver (shh)

Recipe from Farmer Ben :-)

Ingredients:

1 lb Wild Harmony Farm Ground Beef

1/4 lb Wild Harmony Farm beef liver

1/4 cup rolled oats (optional)

1 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. ground black pepper

You can use any ratio of beef to liver from 5:1 to 2:1. At 5:1, the liver is hardly noticeable. At 2:1 it’s very present. I like 4:1.

Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat.

Partially thaw liver until soft enough to cut a 1/4 lb piece off.

Refreeze the rest until your next liver fix.

Blend liver in food processor or meat grinder until fairly smooth.

Mix all ingredients by hand in a bowl. Then shape into 1/4 lb patties.

Grill for 4 minutes on each side (depending on how thick you have made your patties).

Enjoy however you usually eat your hamburgers. Melt some cheese on top. Lots of ketchup, mustard, relish, mayo, etc. Bun or no bun. A strip of crispy bacon.
